Congratulations to Dave & Hayley! Their wedding in Mauritious and the party this weekend makes Dave the first of my siblings to get married 
)Â Unfortunately the weather could have been better the sat night, but it was still a good party and Dan & I got to try out the new tent too – and confirmed it was waterproof!

On Sunday night I went to see Derren Brown live at the Portsmouth Guildhall with Dan, Jane, Carla & Andreas. Jane organised the trip for her birthday and I think we all had a good evening. The show was very interesting, I even got picked for a spot of ‘mind reading’ – where he correctly told me the object I had in my pocket was my new pedometer

Helen & I decided the MadHouse needed some new residents, it was just too quiet with Minstrel gone. So this afternoon we picked out 2 lovely little chinese dwarf hamsters which we’ve now named Crighton & D’Argo. Unfortunately they were able to fit through the bars of the large cage, so Dan applied a bit of ingenuity and fitted the cage with mesh so they weren’t able escape. Hopefully once they’ve grown up a bit we’ll be able to move them back to the large cage with all it’s tunnels & toys.

Dan took me to see River Dance at the Bournemouth International Centre tonight. It was something he’s wanted to see for ages, and I was quite happy to go along & keep him company  It was a good show, with a good mix of song, dance and different styles included. The traffic was solid when we left the the theatre tho, so we rounded out the evening with a walk along the seafront. It was a lovely finish to the evening, much nicer than sitting in the car not going anywhere!

Sadly Minstrel died today – but she’d enjoyed a long life of MadHouse fun & frolics, and passed away peacefully. She’s now buried in the garden & we’ll raise a toast to her at the next opportunity.
